A Sense Of Depth And Shadow

Japanese luxury watch brand, Minase has introduced new YUKHIRA dials in electroformed copper material, lacquered in white, blue, green and ice blue colours – replacing the ones earlier made of steel and treated with PVD – in its Windows collection.

The YUKIHIRA pattern, as it now appears on the dials, originates from a hammering process. It reflects light beautifully and creates a sense of depth and shadow. It is enhanced by the beautiful indexes and case, treated with Minase’s exclusive handmade sallaz polishing.

Windows Collection

The Windows collection showcases Minase’s vision of geometry; a means to emphasise aesthetic dimensions of beauty. The geometric design of the watch is something never seen in watchmaking. Each one of the seven sides of the case is adorned with a sapphire window enabling a 360-degree view upon the movement. The Windows collection is available in stainless steel or in 18-carat rose or yellow gold. The watch features a stunning interplay of brushed and sallaz polished areas, creating a captivating visual appeal.

Each Windows is equipped with a top-execution Swiss ETA 2892-2 movement customised for the brand with a bespoke rotor attached with ceramic bearings. Minase combines both Swiss precision and Japanese traditional know-how. The brand’s logo, a drill head, pays homage to Kyowa, Minase’s parent company, a supplier of high-end watch components and tools since 1963.

The new YUKHIRA dials will be officially presented during Watches and Wonders 2025 in Geneva and will be available for purchase from April 1 on the Minase web-shop.  The new dials will eventually replace the current ones that are still available in limited quantities.
