Historic Swiss manufacturer Audemars Piguet has unveiled three new 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph references in colours designed to catch the essence of the season.
Featuring the robust materials and refined finishes that earned the Offshore such a favourable reception when it was launched in 1993. Each piece preserves the oversized proportions and exposed rubber gasket that earned the original the nickname ‘The Beast’.
The latest pieces feature a choice of vibrant tones reflecting the collection’s unapologetically free spirit, whose design, created by Emmanuel Gueit, draws inspiration from high-performance offshore racing boats.
The Méga Tapisserie dials are accented with touches of pink, turquoise and yellow, as well as orange. Echoing the dashboards of racing machines through a new printing, these shades appear on the tachymeter scale and on the counters at nine and 12 o’clock. They enhance legibility by highlighting the chronograph function’s key elements – the hands and the rubber start-stop push-piece at two o’clock. The oversized Arabic numerals further improve readability while reinforcing the design’s sporty character.

The first timepiece, in stainless steel with a black dial, combines pink accents with the Offshore’s powerful aesthetics. The second, crafted in titanium, contrasts yellow and turquoise against a dark grey dial. On the third, also in stainless steel, orange details energise a monochrome silver-toned aesthetic. Each model is fitted with an interchangeable textured calfskin leather strap matching its palette.
Calibre 4404, the integrated flyback chronograph movement, powers all three timepieces. Its refined components – such as the column wheel and the 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight – are visible through the sapphire caseback. With these new models in bold hues, the Royal Oak Offshore asserts its sporty, free-spirited character – an invitation to follow the call of the open sea, where conventions fade and the pace accelerates.
