Two new vessels from Damen Yachting made their debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. Hadag steps aboard the Amels 60 MEMORIES and Xplorer 60 AFTER YOU.
Amels 60 MEMORIES
The 60-metre Amels 60 MEMORIES is a spectacular superyacht, the seventh in the acclaimed Amels 60 Limited Editions series, from a design which has already established itself as one of the most successful in its category.
MEMORIES benefits from years of insight into owner preferences and charter dynamics. With room for up to 12 guests in six staterooms and a crew of 12 plus a captain, she is perfectly suited for both private enjoyment and commercial operation.
The owner, working closely with Damen Yachting and build supervisors Moran Yacht & Ship, customised MEMORIES to their personal taste with outstanding features such as the folding owner’s suite balcony on the main deck and a spiral staircase with an illuminated handrail, providing a dramatic central focal point.
Award-winning exterior design by Espen Øino is defined by long, elegant lines and a modern profile. Expansive outdoor areas include a 162sq/m sun deck, a large fold-down swim platform and a foredeck with touch-and-go Helideck.
The Owner introduced custom features, including a redesigned sun deck with a large sofa and a ceiling-mounted television replacing the traditional dining area. The bridge deck aft has been transformed into an on-deck cinema, offering an immersive outdoor entertainment experience.
For the interiors, MEMORIES marks the first collaboration between Amels and Harrison Eidsgaard, delivering a distinctive, contemporary interior with a refined take on beach house luxury. The London-based studio created a warm, welcoming atmosphere with natural materials, wide oak planking, subtle bronze accents and fluted detailing throughout. Ben Harrison, Director of Harrison Eidsgaard, explains: “This interior is undeniably contemporary, a home from home with a refined, sophisticated take on beach house luxury. We’ve concentrated on the detail and how it is executed, and that’s where you really see the difference between top brands like Amels and other shipyards. There are little touches of stainless steel, antique bronze, fluted details and lots of natural oak. Wood in wide stave floor planking and the ceiling provides a tactile, warm ambience.”
For guests, MEMORIES delivers a charter experience defined by generous lounges and dining areas, wellness spaces and direct access to the sea through the Beach Club and expansive swim platform.
The yacht’s overall length is 60 metres while she measures 10.4m at the beam with a gross tonnage of 853GT. The vessel has a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,500nm at 13 knots.
MEMORIES carries two luxury tenders including an 8.9-metre Ribeye Beachlander.
Xplorer 60 AFTER YOU
AFTER YOU is the first Xplorer 60 to be delivered from Damen Yachting’s 60-metre Xplorer range of luxury expedition superyachts. The Beach Club features an expansive swim platform that creates a waterside relaxation zone, which can also be transformed for entertainment or storage.
The custom interiors by London-based H2 Yacht Design bring a signature crisp and clean look enriched with a bold colour palette and the warmth of natural wood finishes. Curved edges gently meet functional amenities in prime finishes. The result is a contemporary and inviting environment that balances luxury with practicality for long-range adventures in a relaxed, liveable setting.
The layout accommodates 12 guests across six suites, with spaces tailored for both private retreats and grand entertaining. A defining feature is the Observation Lounge, complete with a large skylight and 270-degree panoramic windows, blending the connection to the outside world while offering protection from the elements.
AFTER YOU has been intentionally designed to bring the outside in, creating an onboard experience that is deeply connected to the natural world.
