The Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34, presented by Swiss luxury watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen, is an elegant dress watch with a compact gold case, sparkling diamonds on the dial, a day and night complication at 6 o’çlock and a taupe calfskin strap with a quick-change system.
The watch’s case, crafted from precious 18-carat 5N gold, has a compact diameter of 34 millimetres, offering the wearer a high level of comfort. The silver-plated dial is complemented by gold-plated hands and appliqués. Additionally, twelve white diamonds mark the hours on the dial. The setting of the stones has been enhanced to improve light reflection and increase their visual impact.
The day and night complication positioned at 6 o’clock features a sun and a moon to visually represent the continuous transition between day and night. The disc completes a full rotation around its axis every 24 hours.
At noon or midnight, either the sun or the moon appears in the upper section of the display, indicating whether it is day or night. The colours of the celestial bodies match the gold tone of the hands and appliques.
