A Truly Special Watch

Breitling Middle East has announced the launch of the Middle East Chronomat GMT 40, a limited-edition timepiece with only 200 pieces available across the region, as part of its 140th anniversary celebrations.

The Swiss luxury watchmaker’s popular Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 will be presented in a special new design that reflects the company’s 140th anniversary theme and proudly features Indian numerals on the dial in a nod to the brand’s rich history and its connection to the region.

Breitling has recently launched its 140th anniversary limited-edition collection comprising three iconic timepieces – the Premier, Navitimer and Chronomat – all in black and red gold and featuring the first B19 perpetual calendar chronograph movement.

The special Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 similarly reflects the colour palette of these anniversary editions in its striking black dial, complemented by 18k red gold-plated hour and minute hands and Indian numerals, and comes in Breitling’s iconic ‘rouleaux’ bracelet in stainless steel.

“As Breitling celebrates its 140th anniversary this year, we are proud to introduce a special edition of the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40, designed exclusively for the vibrant and diverse Middle East market,” said Aed Adwan, Managing Director, Breitling Middle East, India and Africa.

“Inspired by Breitling’s limited-edition anniversary timepieces, the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 offers a similar look and feel while adding a Middle Eastern touch with Indian numerals.”

The Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 is Breitling’s tribute to travel, not only for its dual time-zone complication, but also because of its aesthetics and practical size.

As an all-purpose sports watch, it seamlessly transitions across Breitling’s air, land and sea universes, making it a true timepiece for every pursuit.

Powered by the Breitling Calibre 32, the GMT complication features a 24-hour scale, allowing the user to easily track a second time zone and instantly distinguish between day and night. A classic Chronomat feature, the ‘onion’ crown – named for its fluted-dome shape – enables smooth adjustments. Set in an all-steel case, this COSC-certified chronometer boasts an impressive 200m water resistance and offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.
