Hublot continues to champion its love for football with the launch of a new limited-edition chronograph.
Hublot, the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer, has been making its presence felt in the world of football for almost a decade now, as the Official Licensed Watch of the UEFA Europa League matches. Continuing its long-standing partnership with European football’s governing body, Hublot has recently launched the limited-edition Classic Fusion Chronograph UEFA Europa League Ceramic, the second piece to bear the championship’s colours.
Produced in a limited edition of 100 pieces, the watch is presented in a lightweight, stain-resistant and ultra-tough material – ceramic – which is scratch-proof, except for the diamond. The silver and orange hands of the watch symbolise strength and endurance and echo the hues of the trophy, set against the black background of the 42mm dial and case. The timepiece is driven by the HUB1153 self-winding chronograph movement and is mounted on an unalterable, lined rubber strap.
Initially formed in 2015 for the two renowned UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League tournaments, Hublot’s partnership with UEFA was subsequently extended to encompass all international and club competitions for both male and female football in 2019. The brand’s association with the game has been so successful that the fourth referee now holds the Hublot fourth official board that is used to display announcements of added time and player substitutions.
“The UEFA Europa League is a real launchpad,” said Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe. “It is always full of excitement and surprises for fans, as the winning team then qualifies for the UEFA Champions League. We are delighted and proud to strengthen our relationship with UEFA through the launch of the Classic Fusion Chronograph UEFA Europa League Ceramic. Becoming an official UEFA partner in 2015 was a great honour and privilege: we predicted then that our partnership would last, and time has proven us right.”
The game of football acknowledges the values of technical mastery, passion, excellence and perseverance that are all shared by Hublot. Since its initial partnership with the Swiss national team in 2006, Hublot’s involvement with football has continued to thrive and expand at all levels of the sport. The brand has become an integral part of the history shared between the watchmaker and players, coaches, top clubs, emerging talent, governing bodies and significant events in this sport that is beloved worldwide.
This limited-edition chronograph is a collector’s item that any football fan or watch collector would be proud to own.
