Special Timepiece Marks Watchmaker’s Anniversary

Oris, the Swiss luxury watch company, has launched the Hölstein Edition 2024 to celebrate 120 years of independent watchmaking.

The 250-piece limited edition sees the popular Divers Sixty-Five model reimagined in monochrome. The watch, powered by Calibre 400, has a full black-on-black design – the first time the company has done this – and pays homage to Oris’s rich heritage of craftsmanship and innovation.

The Hölstein Edition 2024 also embodies the essence of the brand’s independent spirit and joyful attitude.

The black-on-black design presents a sophisticated, modern look and, since it is equipped with the Calibre 400, the watch has a five-day power reserve and enhanced anti-magnetism, ensuring precision and reliability.

The 40mm stainless steel case, bezel and crown are plated in black diamond-like carbon (DLC) and the rubber strap with a matching buckle is black too.

The back of the case carries an engraving of the company mascot, the Oris Bear, in a leisurely pose.

Commitment to Excellence

Founded in the picturesque Swiss village of Hölstein in 1904 by visionary watchmakers Paul Cattin and Georges Christian, Oris has remained steadfast in its commitment to independence and excellence.

The brand emerged as a pioneer in the industry, challenging conventions and setting new standards in quality and affordability.

Over the past 120 years, Oris has crafted more than 280 mechanical calibres in-house, including the groundbreaking Calibre 400 Series, which powers the Hölstein Edition 2024.

Environmentally Responsible Traditional Watchmaking

True to its founding principles, Oris continues to produce exclusively mechanical watches, embracing the enduring allure of traditional watchmaking.

Because of its commitment to sustainability, Oris is a certified climate-neutral company aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each timepiece is a testament to the brand’s dedication to durability and environmental responsibility.

Inclusive Ethos

Despite its limited production, the Hölstein Edition 2024 embodies Oris’s inclusive ethos, welcoming watch enthusiasts from all walks of life.

The watch is available for purchase exclusively at Oris boutiques, as well as online, on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis.
