For the Winter 2022 season, Berluti is introducing Scala, a new leather goods line embodying the spirit of sprezzatura.
With a name inspired by the celebrated Milan opera house and steeped in classic menswear style with a touch of Italian dandy attitude, Scala combines understatement and a sense of unconventional elegance. Pieces are made of soft, sleek Venezia Palmelato leather, and take on the new seasonal Fiamma patina – a tan colour with a light orange undertone -, or a timeless shade of Burgundy. Details in bags include an engraved Scritto Swipe motif and a distinctive metallic clasp in a vintage gold tone that closes with a padlock.
The line encompasses four different bags. The iconic E’Mio briefcase revisits an original Olga Berluti design with timeless outlines. In its smaller, functional Messenger version, it can be hand-carried or worn cross-body. The ample, fan favourite Luti 38 and a compact E’Mio phone pouch complete the offering. All bags feature adjustable, removable Venezia straps and light cotton linen linings.
Scala also takes over Fast Track, with a Venezia Palmelato version of the iconic formal sneaker spotlighting perforated details and a double monk closure with vintage gold finish buckles.
The Scala line will be available in Berluti stores worldwide and online from December 15.
